***FULLY BOOKED!!***

REACH 2010 is now fully booked, however you can add your name to the waiting list and we will contact you on Monday 22nd January to let you know if a place becomes available.

REACH is a major borough wide event in Hackney, to help local community networks influence services.

Organised by Hackney CEN, this event will showcase and celebrate work done at grassroots level within the borough, while also providing an opportunity for discussion and ideas on how networks and community networks can influence services in the borough.

It won’t be a ‘typical’ conference where delegates are talked at for several hours – REACH is your chance to help create solutions to local issues, learn something new and meet new people.  There will be inspirational speakers, practical workshops, but perhaps more importantly, time and space to network with others and share ideas.

REACH will take place from 10:00 - 16:00, on Tuesday 23rd March 2010, at the
Morley Hall, 125 - 127 Mare Street, Hackney E8 3RH

Awards:

Are you interested in celebrating the success of Hackney's community networks?  Often hidden, these networks do invaluable work in giving local people a voice and shaping local services. REACH 2010 is your chance to cheer these networks on with the launch of REACHING SUCCESS:  Community Network Awards, presented by The Mayor of Hackney, Jules Pipe.

Reach Success is an awards scheme championing the achievements of our local community networks.  To be eligible, a community network is one made up of both individuals and voluntary and community (VCS) organisations and is VCS led.

Community networks can win an award in any of the following four catagories:

  1. Supporting volunteers
  2. Dedication & determination
  3. Engaging local communities
  4. Influence and impact

Reaching Success is not only a chance to proudly champion a network's achievements; winners can use this chance to promote their services and publicize what they can offer to future network members.  Anyone who knows the work of these networks can make a nomination before Friday, 5 March 2010 when entries close.

You can download a nomination form from www.hackneycen.org.uk or contact Andrea Enisuoh on 020 7923 8184 or andrea@hcvs.org.uk
